EP-642 Case Report: Using the Novel Flamingo Device for Endoscopic Treatment of Buried Bumper Syndrome in high risk patients

Abstract Aim Buried Bumper Syndrome is a rare, major late complication of percutaneous endoscopic gastrostomy (PEG) occurring in 1% cases. It occurs when the internal bumper PEG tube erodes into gastric wall. This lead to loss patency, leakage and inability change endoscopically. Until recently, treatment was surgical removal under general anaesthesia. However, patients with BBS are likely have significant co-morbidities thus deeming procedure high risk. Method We present case report demonstrating successful completed endoscopically using Flamingo device good patient outcome. The new tool that acts like sphincterotome. Appropriate consent taken from patient. performed on 56 year old suffering multiple sclerosis causing dysphagia for which inserted 2018 nutrition. Over time, his care home noticed site. At gastroscopy, he diagnosed BBS. Due risk intervention, trialled remove buried allow insertion PEG. Results As demonstrated photos, mucosa successfully cut allowing be retrieved.
